Local Communities’ Perceptions of Tourism Planning in Natural Areas

Local communities face a double-edged sword when it comes to tourism development; their attitude directly influences growth and helps spread the word within community. The local community is increasingly affected socioeconomically by development, which results in development of attitudes (both positive negative) based on perceived effects. This study aimed investigate effects support for national park western Serbia. data were gathered from locals (580) who reside municipality where belongs. Based own experiences belief that can preserve natural cultural resources protect them future generations, Tara National Park was found favor further development. They disagree problems would arise factors often associated with increasing tourism, such as traffic, price increases, or pollution. carried out during pandemic crisis, seen paradigm shift travel sectors offers an opportunity do better continue operating more sustainable way. Therefore, we propose these findings be taken into account developing tourist management strategies, particularly parks other protected places while respecting needs rights people.
